Production Supervisor

Job Description Lafayette Venetian Blind, Inc. is an established local manufacturer in West Lafayette, Indiana, since 1950. We are a wholesale manufacturer selling high end custom window treatments to the retail sector throughout the continental US. Lafayette Venetian Blind, Inc. is seeking a motivated individual with good work ethic and attendance. The production supervisor will directly supervise and manage the activities of employees engaged in performing a variety of tasks in the manufacture of parts or products.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Leads a team of production employees to meet quality and production standards for products within their department Trains employees, or oversees training of employees, to ensure they're taught proper work methods and production processes to perform their job. Analyzes work orders to estimate worker hours and create schedules that meet both internal and external needs. Computes amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from storage area. Interprets production requirements and job orders to workers, and assigns duties. Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met. Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications. Directs workers in adjusting machinery and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with all employees in their department, and across the entire company Strong computer skills, verbal and written communication Attention to administrative detail Ability to read and interpret production reports Analyze and develop solutions to daily problems Prior supervisory or leadership experience Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus

Physical Requirements:
