Days/Hours of Work:
Regular hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 9pm - 6am. Must be able to assist and cover different shifts when other supervisors are on vacation. This includes both day and night shifts on occasion. Job Summary The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring efficient and safe practices by each member of the production team. Adheres to the plant schedule and ensures that quality standards are properly acknowledged and effectively executed by every member of production.
Job Responsibilities Operations/Performance :
Verifies the readiness of the production line at start-up; oversees shift and/or product line changeovers. Adjusts product schedules to accommodate business needs. Analyzes data to determine appropriate corrective action response for MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), Minor Stops, and establishes the root-cause analysis. Manages line efficiencies, key performance indicators, and production downtime. Manages labor and operations within the OPEX budget. Monitors the production process, making periodic checks and adjustments to the equipment or practices according to standard operating procedures. Maintains daily production reports with SAP, including downtime.
Safety :
Ensures all equipment is operating safely and in appropriate working order. Manages overall packaging and product quality to ensure required standards and specifications are achieved. Leads the improvement effort in production to achieve set goals for increased engagement with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Ensure employees complete all assigned training.
People Leadership :
Maintains a regular presence on the production floor; oversees the production line and its employees. Staffs, trains, evaluates, and develops production team members. Fosters relationships with team to create and maintain a positive work environment.
Leader Administration :
Verifies employees' time weekly for payroll processing. Administers coaching and corrective action techniques using company policy. Provides performance coaching and development opportunities to direct reports. Ensures proper closure of production orders
Communication and Collaboration :
Complete the high-level daily recaps. Keep leadership informed of issues and opportunities throughout the shift. Partners with maintenance, engineering, QA, and warehouse departments to achieve KBI goals. Ensure effective and informative communication outside of the production facility. Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree or Technical Certification preferred. Minimum of three years of work experience required. Minimum of two years of experience in manufacturing industry required. Beverage or consumer goods preferred. Prior experience supervising or managing employees in an operations environment. Strong leadership, coaching and development skills. Demonstrated ability to work well with team members. Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and LEAN Six Sigma in a manufacturing environment. Analytical thought process and problem-solving skills. Strong computer application skills, including knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP.
Pay:
