Job Description

S1 Fabrication Lead - 2nd Shift Great Plains Manufacturing is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Fabrication Lead for our S1 facility. This position will work M-Th from 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. with overtime on Fridays, as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow all Great Plains policies and OSHA safety regulations and wears prescribed safety and protective equipment Monitor and manage safety, productivity, delivery, and the quality of fabricated products Supervise, coach, mentor, train and promote career path opportunities to team members Conduct performance reviews with team members Generate check fixtures, pride implements, and demonstrate basic understanding of press brake programming Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction Monitor fabrication tasks and recommend quality improvement initiatives to the Fabrication Manager Aggressively pursue production due dates and the completion of hot parts
Qualifications:
One to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to read and comprehend instructions and documents such as safety rules and operating/maintenance/procedure manuals; write correspondence Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Computer proficiency in word processing, Internet, email, spreadsheets, and other software High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
