Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our mill and warehouse facility. This is a key leadership role that requires strong management skills and a deep understanding of production processes.Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of mill & warehouse operations, including production, quality control, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with safety and pet food regulatory standards
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for pet food production processes.
- Supervise and train mill staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance and repairs.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, inventory levels, and quality control measures.
- Continuously evaluate and improve operational efficiency.
Experience:
- Proven experience in mill management or a related field
- Proficiency in forklift operation and heavy equipment operation.
- Solid mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment as necessary.
- Understanding of pet food processing standards and pet food safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in a related field preferred.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
