Job Overview The Production Area Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and team members within an assigned production area to ensure safe, efficient, and productive operations. This role supports production goals by maintaining high standards for safety, quality, food safety, and operational performance while providing leadership and direction to assigned employees. Duties Supervise and lead employees within the designated production area. Promote and support continuous improvement initiatives related to Quality, Food Safety, and operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) throughout the production floor. Maintain and uphold finished product specifications and quality standards. Assist with product traceability, investigations, and recall procedures as needed. Collaborate with other departments to maintain efficient workflow and productive communication. Report employee absences, accidents, rule violations, and personnel concerns to the Production Supervisor. Communicate equipment or mechanical issues to the Maintenance Department in a timely manner. Ensure production teams meet established efficiency, productivity, and performance standards. Monitor labor utilization and assist in controlling overtime costs. Ensure proper onboarding and training of new hires and employees within the assigned area. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Assist in monitoring and reducing product and material waste. Meet all established company standards for safety, quality, attendance, and productivity. Follow and enforce all company policies and procedures. Maintain reliable attendance in accordance with Taylor Farms attendance policies, as regular attendance is essential to this position. Follow and enforce all GMP, PPE, food safety, and company procedures. Follow and enforce all workplace safety rules, regulations, and policies. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Production Supervisor or management. Qualifications Minimum of 1-3 years of supervisory or lead experience in a related industry required Previous food manufacturing experience preferred Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred Ability to complete required documentation accurately and timely Ability to follow instructions and company procedures Ability to meet established quality and productivity standards Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to maintain a positive work environment and employee morale
Pay:
$20.00 per hour
