Direct Hire Production Supervisor in Georgetown, KY 1st shift Join our team as a Production Supervisor in the vibrant city of Georgetown, Kentucky. Job Summary Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers, including overseeing production areas and handling duties related to the production of company products. Responsibilities and Duties Direct and coordinate all production activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and priorities. Diagnose and resolve production issues to ensure desired outcomes. Maintain machine work areas according to 5S principles. Assist other shifts when required due to vacations or absences. Effectively communicate daily concerns and issues with other shifts and management during shift changes. Report any equipment repairs or malfunctions to the appropriate support department. Monitor, track, and report all machine data as required. Participate in initiatives to reduce scrap, cycle times, improve efficiency, and eliminate waste in the production environment. Ensure that all assigned personnel complete and submit required checklists. Ensure subordinates are properly trained using approved checklists, procedures, and job descriptions. Review staff performance using checklists and production data, providing coaching to improve performance. Qualifications Associate's degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong leadership skills and excellent written and verbal communication and organizational abilities. Ability to communicate professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization and external contacts. Software Proficiency Microsoft Excel (Basic formulas) Microsoft Word Microsoft PowerPoint Working Conditions This position requires physical exertion. The employee will regularly walk and frequently stand, walk, reach, or kneel. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
