Job Description
The Supervisor of Plant Services for a hospital oversees the maintenance, repair, and operation of the facility's physical infrastructure and equipment. Additionally, the supervisor coordinates preventative maintenance and responds to urgent facility issues to maintain a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff. Evaluation and Analysis Establishes preventive maintenance schedules and prioritizes repair and maintenance work in an effort to minimize disruption of hospital operations and provide efficient and cost-effective maintenance services. Collaboration and Partnership Assists in planning and overseeing major hospital repairs, renovations, and new construction in an effort to maintain the hospital's professional appearance. Serves as a liaison between hospital and contractor in order to ensure compliance with job specifications. Quality Inspects buildings and grounds to ensure that the hospital conforms with established standards and regulations and that the hospital's professional appearance is maintained. Selects, trains, orients, and assigns departmental staff members in a manner that ensures efficient departmental operations and complies with relevant regulations governing the employment process. Implements and monitors departmental work schedules and duty assignments and oversees departmental staffing levels. Other Duties as Assigned Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
