We are looking for a hands-on leader with extensive machining knowledge, CNC programming experience, and the ability to successfully manage production operations in a fast-paced oilfield machine shop environment. This position requires a proven leader who can manage employees, maintain production schedules, ensure quality standards are met, and keep operations running efficiently under pressure. Only highly qualified candidates with a proven track record in machining, production leadership, and oilfield operations will be considered. Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily shop operations, production workflow, and manpower allocation
  • Schedule and manage jobs to ensure on-time delivery and customer commitments are met
  • Lead, supervise, develop, and hold production personnel accountable for performance and productivity
  • Prepare and review quotes, estimates, job timelines, and production schedules Monitor production efficiency, labor utilization, job performance, and overall shop productivity
  • Coordinate with management, sales, customers, and production teams regarding schedules and project expectations
  • Ensure quality standards, tolerances, safety procedures, and operational requirements are maintained
  • Troubleshoot machining, programming, tooling, setup, and production issues
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, throughput, and workflow processes
  • Monitor capacity planning, resource allocation, and production bottlenecks
  • Maintain organization, communication, and accountability throughout all shop operations Requirements
  • Minimum 10+ years of machining and/or oilfield manufacturing experience required
  • Minimum 5+ years of production management experience required
  • Strong machinist background required
  • CNC programming experience required
  • Quoting and estimating experience required
  • Experience managing production schedules, labor planning, and delivery deadlines
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong understanding of machining tolerances, quality control, and inspection standards
  • Experience with tooling, setups, cycle times, and production efficiency improvements
  • Strong understanding of manual and CNC machining operations
  • Experience managing employee performance, accountability, and production expectations
  • Experience communicating directly with customers regarding schedules, project status, and delivery timelines
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven
  • Proven ability to improve productivity, efficiency, and operational performance
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
