You are comfortable leading teams, maintaining accountability on the production floor, and helping keep operations running smoothly. Organized, dependable, and a clear communicator, you reinforce standards, support your team, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Position Summary The Production Team Supervisor manages daily production floor operations and ensures execution of established production plans. This role provides direct supervision to Production Line Leads and Technicians, maintains operational continuity, enforces quality and compliance standards, and ensures production targets are achieved. The Supervisor serves as the on-floor management authority during active production, exercising independent judgment to direct workflow, allocate labor, and resolve operational issues. By maintaining consistent control of daily production activities, this role enables the Production Manager to focus on strategic planning, capacity forecasting, training development, and cross-department coordination. Essential Duties & Responsibilities 1. Daily Production Management Execute daily production plans established by the Production Manager. Direct and oversee workflow across multiple production lines. Assign and reassign work based on operational priorities. Identify and resolve production bottlenecks using independent judgment. Ensure required materials (cannabis and non-cannabis) are staged and production-ready. Maintain proper organization of Work-in-Process (WIP) and Finished Goods Inventory (FGI). Ensure uninterrupted production flow and operational efficiency. 2. Supervision & Workforce Direction Supervise Production Line Leads and Production Technicians during assigned shifts. Direct daily activities and set performance expectations for pace and quality. Provide coaching and immediate corrective direction as needed. Monitor labor utilization and adjust deployment to meet production goals. Communicate performance observations and operational updates to the Production Manager. 3. Quality & Regulatory Compliance Oversight Conduct and oversee randomized quality control checks. Ensure label verification processes meet regulatory requirements. Review batch logs, METRC entries, and production documentation for accuracy. Enforce adherence to SOPs, PPE requirements, and safety protocols. Correct compliance deviations promptly and escalate material issues when necessary. 4. Operational Control & Data Integrity Ensure accurate and timely collection of production data. Verify alignment between assigned personnel and recorded output. Review counts, documentation, and system entries for accuracy. Monitor equipment use and coordinate resolution of operational issues. 5. Continuous Improvement Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend operational improvements. Support implementation of approved process enhancements. Maintain accountability standards across production lines. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises Production Line Leads and Production Technicians. Manages day-to-day labor allocation across multiple production lines. Exercises discretion in adjusting workflow and operational priorities. Provides performance input and operational feedback to the Production Manager. Participates in training and onboarding initiatives. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in production, packaging, or manufacturing. 1-2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience. Experience in a regulated production environment preferred. Working knowledge of METRC and inventory tracking systems preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a high-volume environment. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and move throughout the production floor for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to perform repetitive production tasks as needed. Work Environment Warehouse/production environment. Exposure to loud equipment and variable temperatures. Fast-paced setting requiring real-time decision-making.
