Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Lead Fabricator to join our manufacturing and construction team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee fabrication operations, lead a team of workers, and ensure that all projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Your expertise in welding, sheet metal work and construction drawings will drive the success of our fabrication processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead by example, innovate solutions on complex projects, and contribute to the creation of precision metal components for diverse applications. Duties Supervise and coordinate fabrication activities on-site or in the workshop, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety protocols Lead fabrication tasks including cutting, bending, forming steel components, MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and on-site welding techniques with precision and consistency Read and interpret detailed construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication Operate and oversee the use of power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, drill presses, band saws, tap & die tools, and machining equipment to shape sheet metal and other materials Manage rigging operations for lifting and positioning heavy components using a forklift while ensuring safety compliance Conduct quality inspections to verify dimensions against specifications Collaborate with project managers and mechanical teams to plan fabrication schedules, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workflow efficiency Qualifications Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of manufacturing environments Expertise in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, on-site welding, and plasma cutting techniques Skilled in reading construction plans, schematics interpretation, and technical documentation Proficient with hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, and machining equipment Mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, ductwork fabrication, assembly processes, and soldering skills Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and material estimations Experience operating forklifts safely on manufacturing floors Familiarity with construction safety protocols and OSHA regulations is preferred Join us as a Lead Fabricator if you're passionate about precision craftsmanship!
