What We Do GSS develops and manufactures secure shipping containers which enables world-wide transportation of sensitive cargo. The Global Secure Container is the only ISO certified secure intermodal shipping container that provides six-sided intrusion detection, real time tracking, door opening alerts, and secure global communication and weight-reduction. About our Welding Positions
THIS POSTING IS FOR A 4-6 MONTH LONG PROJECT AT OUR FACILITY IN OLD TOWN, ME.
We are currently looking for candidates who are great at: Accurately following written and verbal work instructions General production and manufacturing operations (composite, electrical, mechanical, welding, Assembly) Understanding basic assembly of electrical and mechanical systems Able to Implement data driven continuous improvement ideas and activities Perform basic visual and dimensional inspection of parts We value a positive attitude, an adaptable nature, a willingness to learn and reliability! Acceptable candidates will possess some of, or any combination of the skills listed below with 1+ years of welding experience preferred. Ability to demontrate welding abilities during interview process is required
Desired Skills:
Production welding Thin Gauge gas metal arch welding (G-MAW) Press brake operation Plasma Cutting Cranes and Overhead material handing Drill Press Reading Blueprints Ability to use a variety of hand & measuring tools and shop equipment for modification, fabrication, and repair. (and/or mechanical, electrical, composites) Must be a U.S. citizen. Assist in ensuring Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost measurements are met with adherence to the core values of the Global Secure Shipping
WORK ENVIROMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted or with proper equipment Wear required safety personal protective equipment Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of position. Ability to spend 90% of time on the floor working in manufacturing area.
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
