Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assign jobs to meet production schedules and maintain required quality standards. Interfaces with other departments to ensure customer order deadlines are met. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Promote and maintain 5S within the organization. Report all accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to the supervisor or manager. Promote teamwork. Train and appraise performance of team members. Maintain budgetary targets of departmental scrap, productivity, and overtime. Resolve conflict and escalate issues as appropriate. Participate in and contribute to training sessions. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Utilize scheduling tools to ensure daily shipment requirements are met. Recommends and participates in measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department or work area. Coordinates manpower requirements by increasing or decreasing personnel and overtime to meet changing conditions. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Maintains time and production records i.e. lot traceability forms, manufacturing orders, and rate sheets. Present data in graph format. Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials. Confers with other team leaders to coordinate activities of individual departments. Set up presses and equipment. Inspects machines, presses and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization. Troubleshoot and perform basic machine maintenance. Reports machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel. Performs activities of workers supervised such as operate secondary or automatic presses, welders, tappers, forklifts or various production equipment. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. Maintains an appropriate labor-management relationship with subordinates. Comply with TS16949 requirements defined by Company Policies and Procedures (job specific) Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum one year experience in a manufacturing environment.

Mon thru Thursday 1st shift: 5:30am to 4pm OT as required
