Press Room Manager Holland, MI 49423 From $120,000 a year - Full-time From $120,000 a year - Full-time At Agritek Industries, Inc. our capabilities are vast, including metal forming, stamping, machining, CNC, assembly, custom fabrication, production welding and more. Agritek is actively looking for dedicated individuals to apply for a position as Press Room Manager.
Position Summary:
The Press Room Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for a press department of 20-25 employees. This is a high-level production management role requiring strong experience in manufacturing operations, team leadership, and performance accountability. Success in this role is driven by active, daily engagement on the production floor. The Press Room Manager leads by example—teaching, coaching, auditing work, verifying quality standards, and ensuring procedures are followed. This position combines big-picture production oversight with hands-on leadership to drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and team development.
The ideal candidate will:
Be skilled in high volume, fast paced production Have an in-depth knowledge of the stamping/metal forming industry Have a passion for sharing his/her knowledge Be trained in the tool and die field Be strong in their organizational, leadership and communication skills Management Team Leadership Support the definition, refinement, and integration of Agritek's purpose, vision, and mission Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and development of processes and procedures Collaborate with leadership to solve issues and make informed decisions Participate in weekly production meetings and year-end leadership planning Press Room Operations Maintain a strong daily presence on the shop floor, providing real-time support, auditing to standards, and on-the-job training Plan and schedule production jobs and direct daily labor allocations to maximize productivity and effective use of work hours Ensure all production parts meet print and quality standards by following Agritek's QMS Monitor and improve employee efficiency and productivity Ensure Press Room preventive maintenance is properly completed and documented Drive innovation, continuous improvement and operational excellence within the department Maintain strong working knowledge of stamping techniques, technology and safety requirements People Management Orient, train, coach, and develop press room employees in alignment with Agritek's core values Promote safe work practices, productivity goals and
ISO 9001
compliance Audit employee work for accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation Encourage employee growth, engagement, innovation, and job satisfaction Maintain open, transparent and effective communication and encourage employee engagement and innovation Provide support and on-call availability across all production shifts Conduct quarterly performance reviews and address performance issues promptly Quality and Compliance Ensure compliance with
ISO 9001
quality standards and internal documentation requirements Review inspection logs daily and respond to issues, changes, NCRs, or customer complaints Ensure all operational training is completed and documented Continuous Improvement & Hands-On Support Identify departmental risks and opportunities and lead continuous improvement initiatives Perform stamping operations, setups, and troubleshooting as needed Develop innovative solutions that improve efficiency, quality, time, and cost
Key Performance Indicators:
Departmental goals are met or exceeded On-time production and project completion No delays or extra costs due poor planning or material shortages Clean, organized, and well-maintained Press Room Preventive maintenance completed on time and properly documented Zero workplace injuries resulting in medical treatment or lost time Qualifications 5-10 years minimum experience in the stamping industry 2-4 years formal training in tool and die field Experience with production schedules and labor allocation Strong documented organizational, leadership, communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle physical requirements and stress related to responsibilities Proven engineering & mechanical aptitude Ability to work well with all levels of Agritek personnel Demonstrated integrity and moral character
