billion in sales in 2025. Job DescriptionSika is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join its growing team in Mattawan, MI. The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating production personnel across all shifts. This role provides hands-on leadership to ensure company goals for safety, quality, delivery, and cost are consistently achieved while fostering a positive, engaged manufacturing workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a strong safety culture by actively engaging employees in SikaSafe initiatives and enforcing all plant safety rules.

Staff, train, develop, coach, and motivate production employees to achieve performance and safety goals.

Direct daily and weekly production activities, including coaching operators in troubleshooting and efficient execution of production schedules.

Collaborate closely with Quality, Logistics, and Customer Service to meet product quality standards and supply requirements.

Monitor, track, and report production metrics such as production and scrap quantities, OEE, run rates, and priorities.

Meet assigned KPIs, financial targets, and budget expectations while maintaining operational efficiency.

Create, implement, enforce, and continuously improve production procedures including SOPs, startup/shutdown checklists, inspections, 5S, and basic preventive maintenance.

Complete production documentation and systems transactions including process orders, inventory blocking/unblocking, purchase requisitions, and invoice processing.
Continuous Improvement & Leadership:
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.

Identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and reduce waste.

Lead by example in professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.

Provide coverage for production personnel during vacations or absences as needed.

Support plant-wide projects and special assignments as directed by the Plant Manager.

Promote employee engagement, communication, and problem-solving at all levels of production.

Ensure consistent adherence to plant policies, procedures, and operational standards.

QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Experience with labor relations strongly preferred.

Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop hourly production employees.

Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and follow-through.

Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
