Job Description

Core Responsibility:
Supervises production activities on assigned shift, including monitoring production inprocess, injection molding process, machines and equipment and supervising production personnel, including Team Leader, Material Handler, Team Members and Final Auditor. Responsible for assuring that plastic molded product and assemblies meet the customer requirements in accordance with the job blue book and visual master.
Essential Duties and Day-to-Day Responsibilities :
  • Performs daily activities related to production, including mold and color changes, machine startup and shutdown.
  • Uses computerized Mattec system / white board to determine schedule needs.
  • Assists in maintaining production equipment, including injection molding machine (IMM) and secondary and auxiliary equipment, such as molds, dryers, blenders, assembling and test equipment, grinders, etc.
  • Performs minor repair, as needed. Completing work orders for maintenance department.
  • Maintains production part quality using job book and visual masters. Performs troubleshooting to correct issues that arise during shift.
  • Supervises production team. Directs and assists Team Leader, Material Handler, Final Audit and Team Members in their daily activities. Monitors production personnel and all activities throughout the shift.
  • Facilitates daily shift meeting, reviews posted quality alerts and safety watches with shift. Participates in quality briefing with quality department weekly, monthly required training. Conducts performance reviews for production shift personnel, disciplinary action.
  • Enforces work rules, safety requirements.
