Logistics Supervisor-2nd shift 3 pm - 1130 pm

WFQ Inc has an immediate opening for a supervisor for a logistics company in Romulus. Must have Automotive background and systems use. Interviews will be this week. This position is on 2nd shift 3:00pm to 11:30pn . Rate of pay is $20. 00hr. GENERAL WORK SUMMARY

Leads and directs the production activities in the warehouse. Understands and has working knowledge of company performance objectives. Manages and communicates production metrics so that production targets are met and maintained. Sequencing experience is required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Directs production with respect to repack volumes, cost and quality, and meeting window time schedules and delivery dates. Recommends production policies and objectives to the Site Manager. Maintains adherence to company safety standards, lean manufacturing, and visual factory principles. Maximize efficiency and productivity of production team leaders and production workers. Reviews and initiates corrective actions. Resolves employee issues through effective problem resolution. Assures compliance with company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices. Assures that production machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained Reviews weekly time sheets for all temporary employees. Directs the production/repackers. Works closely with all warehouse staff including material control supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Three years or more of directly related experience working in an automotive logistics environment.
