Job Description

Sheridan MN is looking for a Production Supervisor to lead and manage Press Room operations to maintain the highest product quality and cost efficiency while meeting company performance metrics, customer specifications, and delivery schedules in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervise assigned production functions to ensure the manufacture of high-quality products at the lowest possible cost while meeting company standards for quality, performance, customer specifications, and delivery requirements. Participate in cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement of processes, methods, productivity, and product quality while reducing operational costs. Monitor and improve production department efficiency by identifying opportunities and recommending process improvements to increase productivity and reduce inefficiencies. Prepare and monitor production employee work schedules, including hours and shift assignments, to ensure adequate staffing and operational efficiency. Manage maintenance schedules for production equipment to ensure efficient operation and minimal production downtime. Analyze production records to maximize productivity while minimizing non-chargeable time and material waste. Actively participate in production and management meetings to communicate operational updates and support decision-making. Communicate company policies and procedures clearly to team members to ensure compliance and understanding. Complete required documentation and follow up on all accident or injury reports in accordance with company and regulatory requirements. Report all safety concerns to the VP of Operations and support corrective actions when necessary. Inform the VP of Operations of departmental issues, operational concerns, or employee-related matters that may impact productivity or morale. Review employee time sheets or the data collection system daily and provide guidance to ensure accurate time reporting. Hold employees accountable for the accurate and timely recording of production and timekeeping information. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Basic Qualifications:
3-5 years of supervisory/management experience. Knowledge of systems related to manufacturing. Strong interpersonal, organizational, mechanical, trouble shooting and communication skills. Ability to perform work productively and safely. Reliable; good attendance is required. Must possess the ability to work at a rapid pace.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
Four years + in trade on similar equipment, graphic arts and/or technical school background beneficial. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently. Frequent walking, handling, and reaching/working overhead required. Occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, sitting, crouching, and crawling required. Good visual acuity and manual dexterity required. Work environment exposure includes excessive noise, proximity to moving machinery, chemicals and inks with splash risk, and potential arm and wrist fatigue. Compensation:
