Production Supervisor-Day Shift

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervise Production Employees Purpose:

Supervises and coordinates activities of a specific production department in processing materials or manufacturing products in shop by supervising operators and production personnel

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program.
• Assure compliance to safety and shop cleanliness in the workplace
• Supervise production in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures
• Work closely with all departments to prevent operational delays
• Responsible for maintaining a high standard of quality
• Plan the daily production schedule with the planning department personnel and communicate to co-supervisors to ensure smooth transition of production between shifts.
• Responsible for containment of nonconforming parts from their area
• Review efficiency, scrap, and set-up reports on a daily basis
• Issue written and oral instructions. Standardize procedures to improve efficiency of the department
• Monitor and assist operators and production personnel in daily tasks
• Develop, coach, and mentor other production personnel to improve floor communication and productivity
• Review and correct labor edit summary daily for accuracy
• Assist in hiring, evaluations and discipline according to company policies and applicable laws
• Demonstrate leadership commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management system and coach subordinates on their impact on

objectives.

• Demonstrate commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management system and Objectives.
• Promote a positive atmosphere. Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
