Job Description

Shop Foreman Everframe Steel 1142 E Center St, Rogersville, MO 65742 $29.24 - $35.21 an hour - Full-time $29.24 - $35.21 an hour - Full-time Everframe Steel is a new, start-up structural steel fabricator located in Rogersville, MO. We provide structural and miscellaneous steel for commercial construction projects in the four state area. We are looking for a motivated, experienced shop foreman to run our shop operations. Everframe Steel offers a competitive salary and an excellent benefit plan. A fabrication shop foreman oversees the daily operations of the shop floor, ensuring that manufacturing runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This role bridges the gap between front-line workers and the customer support team, requiring a mix of deep technical expertise and strong leadership skills.
Core Responsibilities Team Supervision:
Directs and coordinates the daily activities of shop personnel, including welders, fitters, machinists, and laborers. This includes assigning tasks, training staff, and conducting performance reviews.
Production Management:
Manages production schedules to meet project deadlines and performance goals. Foremen track job progress and report status updates to project managers. Must be able to quickly react to changing priorities.
Quality Control:
Enforces strict quality standards, often inspecting work in progress and finished products to ensure they meet shop drawings.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforces all safety policies and OSHA standards. They are responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
Equipment & Inventory Maintenance:
Ensures machinery and tools (e.g., CNC machines, welders, cranes) are calibrated, maintained, and in safe working order. They also monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies like welding consumables and other perishable and operating materials.
Technical Guidance:
Interprets construction prints, shop drawings, and job specifications to guide the team and resolve technical production issues.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Typically requires 5-10 years of hands-on experience in metal fabrication or welding, with at least 2-5 years in a leadership or foreman role. Must be familiar with AISC standards for building fabricators and
AWS D1.1
weld procedures.
Technical Knowledge:
Expertise in welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick), cutting (saw, laser, plasma), and forming methods is often required. Must fully comprehend Shop and Working drawings. Expert ability to Layout, Fabricate, and Weld to
AWS D1.1
Standards.
Certifications:
OSHA 10 is a plus; AWS Welding certification or past certification is a must. AWS certification as a CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) is a plus. Class E driver's license is a plus.
Software:
Experience with Tekla Power Fab is a definite plus. Experience with Microsoft office programs a definite plus. Must be able to computer literate and able to communicate via email.
Soft Skills:
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities are essential for managing multiple concurrent projects and resolving personnel or workflow conflicts.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods, work in non-climate-controlled environments, and lift up to 50 lbs .
Pay:
$29.24 - $35.21 per hour
