Composite Lamination Supervisor Location:
Morganton, NC Position Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead our Composite Lamination (Layup and Clean Room) department. This individual will oversee daily production, ensure process adherence, and drive quality in one of our most critical areas of composite manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate all aspects of composite lamination from raw material kitting through departing of cured components. Ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are met Assign work, manage crew scheduling in accordance with production needs, and monitor team performance Train and mentor technicians in composite layup best practices, mold/tool preparation, and material handling Collaborate with engineering and quality to resolve issues and improve processes Maintain tooling and material readiness Enforce company policies and procedures, supporting a positive and accountable culture
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing (preferred in aerospace layup using various techniques including VARTM, wet layup, and oven and/or autoclaved prepregs) Proven ability to lead a team of 5-10 individuals with clear communication and expectations High school diploma or equivalent desired but not mandatory; additional technical education in a relevant field preferred Ability to read and interpret work instructions, process specifications, and engineering drawings Familiarity with AS9100 requirements and aerospace manufacturing documentation is a plus
