Job Description

As a GGI Plant Supervisor, you will be at the heart of our mission, ensuring that our specialized groundwater intercept and separation technology runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently every single day.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspire & Lead:
Build, mentor, and sustain a high-performing, safety-first plant team. You will handle frontline screening, training, and performance coaching to help your crew thrive. Master the
Flow:
Oversee day-to-day GGI plant operations, managing gravity-separation systems, pumps, and water intercept flows to ensure maximum efficiency and strict environmental compliance.
Safety Champion:
Walk the talk when it comes to safety. You will lead regular safety meetings, audit site conditions, and ensure the team strictly adheres to OSHA and GFL corporate safety standards.
Proactive Maintenance:
Treat our facility like your own. You will develop and execute preventative maintenance programs to minimize system downtime, optimize equipment life, and keep operational costs lean.
Operational Control:
Keep meticulous records of plant data, flow rates, and maintenance logs. Safely operate site equipment (loaders, forklifts, or specialized pumps) when necessary to assist your team.
Compliance & Care:
Ensure full compliance with all local, state/provincial, and federal environmental regulations, as well as corporate guidelines and labor laws.
Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent practical experience.
Industry Experience:
Three (3) or more years of experience in industrial water treatment, wastewater management, or environmental plant operations (experience with gravity separation or groundwater intercept systems is a massive plus).
Leadership Track Record:
At least one (1) year of supervisory or team-lead experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or complex processing environment.
Technical Savvy:
Ability to complete site-specific equipment certifications (e.g., forklift, skid steer) and keep up-to-date with localized environmental training requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
People First:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to motivate a diverse workforce.
Mechanical Aptitude:
Strong troubleshooting skills for pumps, piping networks, automated valves, and mechanical separation systems.
Analytical Mindset:
Ability to interpret system readouts, safety data sheets, and compliance manuals to make quick, sound operational decisions.
Tech Literacy:
Comfortable using standard software systems for tracking plant metrics, daily logs, and employee timekeeping.
Physical/Mental Demands:
Physical agility to navigate an active industrial facility: standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and bending throughout the shift. Clear visual acuity for depth perception, equipment monitoring, and material inspection. Ability to regularly lift/move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
