Caterpillar is seeking a 2nd Shift Fabrications Production Manager in Sanford, NC. In this role, you will oversee and coordinate the activities of a more complex production line, prepares schedules, resolves issues, and ensures adherence to safety and quality standards. What you can look forward to in this role: Monitoring and improving shop floor safety, Assuring fixtures, tooling and processes are followed to meet production scheduling. Determining priorities and sequencing jobs, Scheduling and prioritizing constrained resources and adjusting staffing to meet flow and customer requirements. Determining and executing disciplinary action when appropriate. Procuring and distributing production material to meet schedules. Ensuring preventive maintenance is performed according to schedule. Implementing Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, Internal Certifications. Evaluating, assessing, identifying, and leading the deployment of workforce training. A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in:

Knowledge of successful performance management techniques; ability to apply organization's performance management system, practices, and tools to developing and improving individual, team, and organizational performance.

Planning and Organizing:

Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.

Effective Communications:

Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Accuracy and Attention to

Detail:

Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision. Top Candidates for this position may also have: One or more year of manufacturing planning experience including in the areas of fabrications, logistics, assembly, or engineering. Three or more years of supervisor experience within manufacturing environment. A two-year degree in a manufacturing or business discipline Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills. Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and customers.

Summary Pay Range:

$97,530.00 - $146,290.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
