Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Production Supervisor and lead the daily operations of our manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for all aspects of production and operations. Primary metrics are safety, yield, quality, productivity, runtime, including responsibility for monitoring employee attendance and job performance. This is a full-time regular position, 4 crew, 12 hour, rotating shifts, with overtime as required.
Qualifications:
- has education or equivalent experience in a supervisory, technical, or business role (preferred)
- analyzes and solves problems, makes sound decisions, performs root cause analysis, thinks analytically/creatively
- acts with integrity and ethics, complies with company standards/policies and legal guidelines
- provides effective, assertive, direct, and tactful oral and written communication
- leads meetings effectively, reports on crew performance, coordinates work load, and encourages a spirit of pride and responsibility
- accepts ownership and accountability, gives and receives feedback
- has familiarity and experience with the machines and technologies utilized on site and with the products being manufactured
- has a strong commitment to ensuring quality standards are being met and followed
- has a strong commitment to ensuring safety standards and policies are being met and followed
- has understanding, knowledge, and proficiency with Microsoft Office systems (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and data entry systems
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct production meetings and owns safety, yield, output, productivity, and runtime metrics
- Manage job assignments for the production work group to maximize efficiency and flexibility
- Work order completion and all aspects of getting the product to the customer
- Become knowledgeable of all production areas (B1 and B10)
- Use data and information to identify problem areas on the equipment and develop a plan to implement improvement projects to improve runtime, yield and overall equipment effectiveness
- Monitor certification of production personnel
- Facilitate on-the-job training and task transfer
- Observe and enforce all safety rules
- Maintain housekeeping and 5S principles in all areas of responsibility
