The ideal candidate will have a strong background in factory settings, particularly within assembly lines and manufacturing, and possess mechanical knowledge and people management skills to effectively lead a growing team. This role is crucial in ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining quality standards and safety protocols. Responsibilities Supervise daily production activities and manage the workflow on the assembly line. Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff to enhance their skills and performance. Ensure that all production processes adhere to safety regulations and quality standards and employees adhere to company policies. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate production schedules, communicate performance/behavioral/attendance issues that arise, execute disciplinary measures as necessary, and resolve any production flow concerns. Monitor equipment performance and conduct regular inspections to ensure proper functioning of power tools and hand tools. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency in the manufacturing facility. Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report on progress regularly. Additional responsibilities as needed in order to support the SDI team. Requirements Previous experience in a supervisory role within a factory or manufacturing environment is highly preferred. Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and machinery relevant to assembly and fabrication tasks. Familiarity with warehouse operations, including forklift operation, is a plus. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration across departments. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. This is a salary position with an in-person schedule of 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday with occasional need to supervise overtime shifts on Saturdays (if/when necessary).
