Sheet Metal Production Supervisor
Manchester, NH
Full-TimeOn-Site$100,000 - $125,000 /yr
Posted May 11, 2026 This is an office-based leadership role with regular site visits (typically weekly). You'll collaborate closely with Project Managers, CAD designers, field foremen, and safety leadership to ensure the sheet metal scope is fully coordinated and executable before work begins in the field. You'll maintain strong field influence without being on the tools-using your trade expertise to shape how projects are planned, detailed, and installed.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the sheet metal scope from estimating turnover through final closeout
Review contract documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and constructability
Lead and direct the CAD/design team on routing, sizing, coordination, and detailing
Manage all trade-related RFIs and support coordination with project teams and general contractors
Develop and validate labor hour plans and material takeoffs to support production goals
Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and fabrication details as the trade SME
Obtain and manage required sheet metal permits
Conduct regular jobsite visits to support foremen, resolve field issues, and verify that execution aligns with plans
Serve as the primary technical liaison between project management, CAD, field leadership, and safety teams
Support quality control, safety compliance, and documentation, including as-builts and O&M manuals
Qualifications:
Strong background in sheet metal / HVAC construction on commercial or multifamily projects
Proven career progression from journeyman or lead installer into foreman or supervisory roles
Excellent understanding of sheet metal systems, fabrication standards, and installation sequencing
Ability to read, interpret, and impact construction documents and specifications
Experience with labor planning, material forecasting, and production-driven decision making
Effective communicator who can lead trade discussions with field teams and project leadership
Comfortable working primarily from the office with consistent jobsite interaction
Proficiency with construction documentation, submittals, and standard computer tools (CAD exposure preferred) Benefits Salary $100-125k base Performance bonus potential Vehicle allowance or company vehicle for job site travel
