In this role, you will assist in overseeing daily food production operations while ensuring high standards of quality, sanitation, safety, and customer service within a healthcare food service environment.

Pay Rate:
$30.27/HOUR Essential Duties & Responsibilities Provide patient-centered service while fostering a friendly, weing, and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and service excellence in all interactions. Respond promptly and effectively to customer concerns and service-related issues. Organize workflows to amodate operational and customer needs while meeting departmental goals and service standards. Assist the Executive Chef with forecasting, coordinating, and monitoring food production activities to ensure quality standards, deadlines, and budgetary expectations are achieved. Schedule production staff and supervise assigned personnel, including daily work assignments, responsibilities, and workflow adjustments as needed. Participate in staff selection, orientation, training, coaching, and performance evaluations. Rmend personnel actions, including disciplinary actions when appropriate. Assist with inventory management of food and non-food supplies to maintain operational and financial efficiencies. Maintainpliance with all federal, state, local health regulations, and Joint Commission standards. Participate in department automation processes, including inventory and menu management systems and standardized recipe testing. Support menu planning, promotional activities, and food production coordination with the Executive Chef. Conduct staff meetings and in-service training sessions tomunicate operational updates and departmental expectations. Collaborate with leadership on annual goals, budget planning, and continuous performance improvement initiatives. Assist staff with production and operational duties as needed. Support procurement activities in collaboration with the Executive Chef and Operations Manager. Stay current with applicable healthcare regulations, policies, and operational standards. Ensure staff are properly trained onpliance policies and procedures related to their job responsibilities. Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Culinary degree or certificate preferred.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a First Cook or Lead Cook required.
  • National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation ServSafe Protection Certification required, or ability to obtain within 6-12 months of employment and maintain throughout assignment.
  • Experience using automated inventory/menu management systems such as CBORD Food Service Suite preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Strong understanding of culinary math, recipes, cooking methods, ingredients, kitchen equipment, and food preparation procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
