We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Production Manager for our Paper Machine department to join our team.

Position Overview:

The Assistant Production Manager - Paper Machine plays a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the operations of our paper manufacturing process. This position involves ensuring efficient production, maintaining product quality, and upholding safety standards. Key Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

Production Oversight:

Assist in managing the daily operations of the paper machine department. Collaborate with the Production Manager to plan, organize, and optimize production schedules to meet output targets.

Quality Control:

Monitor and maintain product quality standards in accordance with company specifications. Implement and enforce quality control measures to minimize defects and ensure consistent product excellence.

Safety Compliance:

Uphold and enforce all safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure working environment. Conduct safety audits and lead safety training initiatives for team members.

Team Leadership:

Provide leadership and guidance to production personnel, ensuring proper training and adherence to procedures. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture to enhance productivity.

Equipment Maintenance:

Oversee routine maintenance activities for paper machine equipment, coordinating with the maintenance department as needed. Address equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving measures. Implement best practices to enhance overall operational efficiency.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Paper Science, Engineering, or related field preferred. Proven experience in paper manufacturing, with at least 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience. Strong knowledge of paper machine operations and related equipment. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make informed decisions. Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Work Environment:

The role involves working in a paper manufacturing facility, which may require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels is possible. This position may require evening or weekend work to address production needs.
