Job Description

The Production Supervisor will oversee daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves leading a team to meet production targets and maintain high standards of performance.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production personnel, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
  • Ensure production schedules are met, proactively addressing any delays or issues that arise.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide training and development opportunities for team members.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., quality control, logistics, maintenance) to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate production records and generate reports on key performance indicators.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production-related problems and equipment malfunctions.
  • Manage inventory of raw materials and finished goods to support production needs.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration) preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 3 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a production team.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
