Position Summary:
Silver Lands Inc is seeking an experiended Welder Foreman Crew Member to lead field and shop welding operations. This position is responsible for supervising crews, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards, coordinating daily activities, and performing hands-on welding and fabrication work with day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and capable of leading teams in both shop and field environments. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Supervise and lead welding crews in daily operations. Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and repair of metal components. Read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications. Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Operate welding and cutting equipment safely and effectively. Inspect completed work and ensure compliance with company standards. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition. Coordinate materials, equipment, and manpower requirements. Train and mentor crew members on welding techniques and safety procedures. Communicate project progress, concerns, and job site conditions to management. Travel to job sites as required. Physical Requirements This position involves physically demanding work in industrial shop and field environments, including exposure to high heat, noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.
Candidates must be able to:
Lift, carry, and maneuver materials weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Work overhead while handling:
Carport trim Carport metal panels Purlin beams Step on and off trucks while loading and unloading materials. Work safely from ladders up to 6 feet in height. Operate jackhammers to break asphalt and concrete. Dig and backfill holes using shovels. Perform excavation of footings typically up to 4 feet deep and 2 feet wide. Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work outdoors for extended periods. Travel Requirements This position requires travel to project sites throughout Nevada, Arizona, California, and other states as needed to support company operations and client projects. Frequent travel may be required based on project needs. Overnight stays and extended assignments away from home may be necessary. Transportation, lodging, and approved travel expenses will be provided in accordance with company policy. Candidates must be willing and able to travel and work in various climates and job site conditions. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel on short notice are preferred. Qualifications Previous welding and fabrication experience required. Prior foreman or crew leadership experience preferred. Strong understanding of welding safety practices. Ability to operate welding, cutting, and fabrication equipment. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Valid driver's license with clean driving record preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently. Step on and off trucks while loading and unloading materials.
