Hours may vary due to business needs. Job Overview The Processing Supervisor plays a key role in executing assigned processing tasks. This includes setting up, operating, cleaning, and troubleshooting production equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily production operations including pasteurization, homogenization, and packaging processes while ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality specifications, and regulatory requirements. Lead and manage production team of operators and technicians through training, performance evaluations, shift scheduling, and daily safety briefings to maintain optimal staffing and productivity. Oversee food safety and quality control by implementing HACCP procedures, coordinating with quality assurance teams, and managing product holds or recalls when quality issues arise. Optimize production efficiency by troubleshooting equipment issues, coordinating maintenance activities, managing raw material inventory, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities to reduce waste and control costs. Ensure regulatory compliance by maintaining accurate production records, enforcing sanitation standards, and preparing reports on production metrics, quality data, and safety incidents for management and regulatory agencies. Manage operational resources including production scheduling, utility usage monitoring, department budget oversight, and cross-functional communication with quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics departments. Min. Qualifications Minimum GED or High School Diploma is required, associate or bachelor's degree in related field preferred. Minimum of 5+ years as a Processor in the dairy industry Byrne Headquartered in LaFayette, Byrne is a Central New York-based dairy company with a legacy spanning over 90 years. Its operations include an extended shelf-life (ESL) and ultra-high temperature (UHT) pasteurization plant in DeWitt, as well as an ESL manufacturing facility in Cortlandville. Byrne also maintains warehouse facilities in Syracuse and East Syracuse, along with a dedicated ice cream center in Syracuse.
