Pulp Mill Team Leader Job Description

Responsible for the overall safe and efficient operation and performance of the shift; provide leadership and guidance to crew members while promoting employee involvement and participation in problem solving and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include working within the guidelines of process safety management (PSM), evaluating and eliminating environmental and production issues; assist in monitoring and managing inventories and participate in leading plans to improve capabilities and yield; a demonstrated technical understanding of pulp and paper manufacturing processes strongly preferred. Availability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing industry highly desired; strong computer, time management, and interpersonal skills required. Bachelors Degree with a focus toward a related Paper Industry discipline (Industrial/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering) preferred; High School Diploma or GED with equivalent work experience considered.
