This company produces high-quality industrial products in a hands-on, team-oriented environment focused on safety, craftsmanship, and operational consistency. This is an opportunity for an experienced fabrication professional to take on a senior-level role with influence on the shop floor, while also supporting the development of team capability and future leadership structure. Position Summary The Senior Fabricator is a highly experienced, hands-on role within the metal fabrication team. This position is responsible for producing high-quality components while serving as a technical resource and informal leader on the floor. This role is ideal for someone with deep fabrication experience who is capable of mentoring others, supporting production flow, and contributing to a stable and high-performing shop environment. There is an opportunity for this role to grow into a formal team lead or supervisor position over time. Key Responsibilities Fabricate sheet metal components to specification for continued manufacturing and finished products Operate fabrication equipment including: Press brakes Rollers Spot welders Rotary machines Drill presses Mills Pneumatic tools Flanging machines Support daily workflow and production consistency across the fabrication area Serve as a technical resource for less experienced team members Assist in training and mentoring employees on equipment and processes Troubleshoot fabrication issues and support problem resolution Ensure adherence to quality standards and production expectations Reinforce safe work practices and maintain organized work areas Support cross-training and operational flexibility Collaborate with leadership on process improvements and efficiency Work overtime as needed based on production demand Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED 8 to 15 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, machining, or related manufacturing work Strong hands-on experience with fabrication equipment such as press brakes, rollers, and forming tools Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced production environment Reliable attendance and schedule flexibility Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and support team lifts up to 100 lbs Preferred Qualifications 2 to 5 years of experience in a supervisory, team lead, or mentoring role within a metal shop or manufacturing environment Associate degree in a metalworking-related program, completion of an apprenticeship, or equivalent formal technical training Experience supporting training or onboarding of fabrication employees Exposure to Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices Interest in growing into a formal leadership role Compensation and Benefits $25.00 - $34.00 per hour based on experience and capability Monthly and annual performance bonus potential 401(k) with company match Health, dental, and vision insurance Company-paid life and disability insurance Supplemental insurance options Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Paid vacation and sick time Paid holidays Career advancement opportunities Schedule Full-time Monday through Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Day shift Overtime as needed Fully onsite Why This Opportunity Stands Out Senior-level role with strong influence on the shop floor Opportunity to mentor and develop other employees Pathway into team lead or supervisory role Stable and established manufacturing environment Competitive compensation and benefits Hands-on, team-oriented culture Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants.
