Location/Division Specific Information Cincinnati, OH How will the Manufacturing Group Leader make an impact? The FOWN Manufacturing Group Leader of our Coating, Printing, and Inspection team is a critical component for influencing and motivating our team to tackle new challenges, realize their full potential, and facilitate a positive and engaging work environment. You will laterally lead a team of operators to drive results in the day-to-day operations. This individual will have the ability to help lead career development plans, drive continuous improvement, ensure a high level of quality for our customers and maximize cross-functional relationships to realize department objectives in alignment with organizational goals. In addition, this role will collaborate in improving the overall safety, delivery, and facilitate cost-saving projects throughout the department. What will you do? Lead the team in promoting world class safety Cultivate a right first-time quality mentality by leading investigations into process failures and product failures Identify and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions Helps establish productivity performance goals and drive results to hit organizational goals Effectively review metrics to benchmark and drive team performance Recommends and coordinates improvement activities production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product Drives Practical Process Improvements (PPI) with a high level of team member involvement and engagement, and applies lean methodologies to realize process efficiencies Works with team members and planning/purchasing teams to develop and execute a manufacturing schedule to meet customer demands Participates in internal and external audits, responds to audit observations, identifies, and implements appropriate corrective and preventive actions Ensure coordination and administration of training sessions as required, based on new SOPs and revisions to existing SOPs How will the Packaging Unit Coordinator get here? Previous experience as a group leader or lead operator in packaging or manufacturing is helpful. High school diploma required Applicants with the experience/exposure of working in a cleanroom environment are highly sought after Troubleshooting, assembly, and testing skills required Experienced working in a related manufacturing line Pharmaceutical Manufacturing experience is desired Knowledge of manufacturing equipment set up and adjustments, and documentation is preferred Solid understanding of applicable SOPs, GMPs, LPRs and quality test methods is preferred Ability to complete GMP documentation neatly, correctly, and legibly. Basic math skills are required Ability to lift 50 lbs . for short periods Communication skills and the ability to work with and empower a diverse group of associates are required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Basic knowledge and experience using manufacturing equipment & mechanical proficiency Able to communicate well with others, have a collaboration focus, possess leadership skills and be willing to work overtime hours as required Ability to read work instructions, and procedure manuals/diagrams Ability to work well with minimal direction.
