Our client is a global precision parts manufacturer with a state of the art facility and equipment. They have an immediate need for a CNC Machining Supervisor on 1st shift Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented CNC Machining Supervisor to lead our first-shift manufacturing team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the operation of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, ensuring high-quality production, safety compliance, and efficient workflow. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives, foster a collaborative team environment, and uphold the highest standards of precision manufacturing. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily operations of CNC machining processes on first shift, including CNC lathes and milling machines equipped with Fanuc controls. Lead, motivate, and develop a team of machinists and operators to meet production goals while maintaining safety standards. Oversee setup, calibration, and programming of CNC machines using CAM programming software; ensure adherence to blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Conduct quality inspections utilizing precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part specifications. Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, machine logs, and inspection reports; troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime. Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams on tooling selection, machine maintenance schedules, and process improvements. Requirements Proven experience supervising CNC machining operations within a manufacturing environment; knowledge of CNC programming is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience operating CNC milling machines and lathes using Fanuc controls or similar systems. Proficiency in reading blueprints and applying GD&T principles for precise part fabrication. Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, welding techniques, and assembly procedures is a plus. Skilled in using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks or similar for design review and tooling development. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and perform basic math calculations for measurements and tolerances. Experience with power tools, hand tools, tooling management, forklift operation, and safety protocols in a manufacturing setting. Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills; capable of training team members and fostering a positive work environment. $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
