Job Description

JIT Staffing is looking for a 1st shift Food Manufacturing Supervisor/Trainer for a growing company located on the Westside of Cleveland. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Food Manufacturing Supervisor/Trainer to lead our food production team in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment. This role is vital in ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly, safely, and efficiently while maintaining strict adherence to food safety standards and regulatory requirements. As a supervisor and trainer, you will inspire your team, promote best practices, and uphold the highest standards of sanitation, safety, and product quality. Responsibilities Oversee daily food production operations, ensuring all processes comply with FDA regulations, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and sanitation standards. Train new and existing team members on food safety protocols, equipment operation, packaging procedures, and safety policies to foster a knowledgeable and compliant workforce. Monitor manufacturing activities to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and uphold product quality through continuous process improvements. Conduct regular inspections of the food processing plant to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and adherence to safety guidelines. Maintain accurate documentation of production records, safety reports, and quality checks; promptly address any deviations or issues. Collaborate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot mechanical issues and ensure equipment operates safely and effectively. Support the implementation of food safety programs by conducting audits, verifying compliance with HACCP plans, and ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed. Requirements Proven experience in food production or manufacturing environments within the food industry; experience in a food processing plant is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, CGMP standards, and food safety practices. Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment used in food processing plants. Ability to lead and train teams effectively while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Basic math skills for measurements, data recording, and process calculations. Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire; experience operating forklifts is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly instruct staff on procedures and safety protocols. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, perform manual tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment.
