Production Supervisor Toledo, OH On Site Full Time |
Contract Opportunity Pay Rate:
$30- $34 per hour Position Overview Reliance One, Inc. is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations within a fast-paced, high-volume, unionized production environment. This role is responsible for ensuring employee safety, driving operational excellence, developing high-performing teams, and achieving key production, quality, and cost objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, experience managing production teams, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a positive and accountable workplace culture. What You'll Be Doing Lead and manage multiple production teams consisting of Team Leaders and hourly employees. Ensure production schedules and business objectives are achieved while maintaining quality and safety standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve throughput, quality, efficiency, and cost performance. Monitor production metrics and provide updates to leadership through daily meetings and shop floor presentations. Build, train, coach, and develop team members to maximize performance and engagement. Manage workforce allocation, attendance, absenteeism, and manpower planning. Promote and maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety procedures and leading safety improvement initiatives. Analyze production losses and coordinate corrective actions to improve operational performance. Collaborate with maintenance, quality, engineering, and leadership teams to resolve issues and achieve production goals. Participate in and lead Kaizen and continuous improvement activities focused on Safety, Cost, Quality, and Throughput improvements. Support implementation and sustainability of manufacturing systems and operational initiatives. Address employee relations matters within a unionized environment while maintaining positive working relationships. Utilize data and KPIs to identify trends, solve problems, and drive performance improvements. Mobilize support groups and resources to assist with production challenges and operational improvements. Qualifications - What You Bring (Must Haves) High School Diploma or GED required. Ability to work any shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required. Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams in a manufacturing environment. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels, from hourly team members to senior leadership. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Goal-oriented self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Comfortable presenting production metrics and operational updates to leadership teams. Ability to build strong working relationships with leadership, support teams, and customers. Preferred Qualifications (Added Bonus) Bachelor's Degree preferred. 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in high-volume automotive manufacturing. Experience working within a union environment. Knowledge of continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and operational excellence methodologies. Experience leading teams consisting of multiple Team Leaders and production groups. Familiarity with manufacturing performance metrics and KPI-driven environments. Schedule 1st
