Ultium Cells, LLC. is a joint venture Lithium-ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solution, Ltd., and General Motors. This high-technology plant is a new construction that has the latest in battery cell manufacturing technology. This $2.3 billion investment is among the largest battery cell manufacturing plants in the world. Ultium Cells produces battery cells for General Motors North American electric vehicle applications. Ultium Cells partners include LG Energy Solution, Ltd.; the worlds largest manufacturer of automotive battery cells, and General Motors; a global company committed to delivering safer, better and more sustainable ways for people to get around.
Job Description:
This is an onsite position. This position will be located in the Electrode Department Prevent quality issue in advance and maximize output (yield, OEE) through the establishment of inspection system, management of inspection equipment maintenance, improvement of inspection equipment performance, and the introduction of new equipment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Compliance with health/safety/environmental/fire regulationsIn case of emergency or danger, immediately stop work (e.g., in case of safety accidents such as worker injury (stenosis, cut, etc.)Report singularity to Part Leader / Team LeaderReport accidents and risk factors to Part Leader / Team Leader Implement safety improvementsInspection machine PM management (inspection machine maintenance/performance management)PM Planning (work content, period, personnel input, time required)Technician PM work order and result checkOptimization of preventive maintenance items for inspection machine maintenance (PM Activity)Establishment of inspection machine spare parts management systemCalibration to maintain inspection machine performance, management of MSA (Measurement SystemsAnalysis)Inspector equipment improvement activitiesAnalyze and quantify equipment failure items (MTTR, MTBF)Analyze the cause of equipment failure and derive improvement itemsReview/derive and implement the predictive maintenance plan for the advancement of inspection equipmentPrevention of recurrence through failure analysis report creation, education/dissemination, and improvementfor BM Request and implement improvement on equipment makers for chronic problemsImproving/managing inspection machine accuracy and detection powerMonitoring inspection machine accuracy and detection powerDerivation/analysis of major factors for major inspection itemsFor process-borne issues, feedback to the production and equipment departmentsFor issues attributable to the inspection machine, improvement plans are derived and inspection conditionsare optimized.

Education:
