Job Description

Job Summary:
The Weld Supervisor will oversee the welding operations within the manufacturing facility, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. This role involves managing a team of welders, coordinating projects, and collaborating with other departments to meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision:
Lead and manage a team of weld line leads and welders, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Quality Control:
Ensure all welding processes meet industry standards and specifications. Conduct regular inspections and audits of weld quality.
Safety Compliance:
Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting safety training for team members.
Production Planning:
Collaborate with the production manager / plant manager to schedule and prioritize welding jobs based on production timelines.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement improvements to welding processes and techniques to enhance efficiency and reduce waste using Lean principles.
Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure that welding equipment is properly maintained and serviced regularly.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of welding operations, including production reports, quality inspections, and employee performance.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in welding preferred. Proven experience in welding, with at least [insert number] years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
