Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Accounting Supervisor will participate in planning the objectives, methods and resources of short- and long-range financial operations of the Company. Prepare and monitor annual operating budget, prepare financial statements, analyze past and present financial operations data, estimate future revenues and expenditures. Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, focusing on the accuracy of financial reporting, the integrity of the annual budgeting process, and the oversight of standard cost systems.
Major duties and responsibilities:
Financial Operations & Reporting:
Spearhead daily operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll assistance. Prepare and review monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis reports. Ensure all financial reporting complies with
GAAP General Accounting:
Prepare all journal entries and account reconciliations. Provide audit support both internal and external. Help with process improvements. Drive accurate and timely completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
Budgeting:
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes. Prepare and analyze monthly forecasts and variance reports to identify spending trends. Provide insights into cost reduction and profitability.
Manufacturing & Standard Costing:
Oversee the maintenance and updating of standard costs for manufacture goods and inventory. Ensure accuracy of Bills of Materials.
Job skills and abilities guidelines:
Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products Strong written and verbal communication skills Basic math/accounting skills Dependability Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times Ability to understand and follow directions Time management skills and organizational skills Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards Minimum qualifications: Educational requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance. Experience - 5+ years of combined experience in accounting management and financial analysis.
