Role:
This position will oversee and manage departmental manufacturing shift employees and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production metric standards; Provide oversight, facilitation, and guidance of each department to enable and ensure staff competence, operational consistency, and resource effectiveness to safeguard optimal customer satisfaction and attainment of company goals and objectives. Multiple openings are available across all shifts (days, nights, & weekends).Role Responsibilities:
Supervise and provide overall direction to staff within Waterjet Cutting, Separation, Glue Machine, and Quality Control departments. Coordinate manufacturing workflow within and between departments; to ensure optimal deployment of all resources (staff and equipment), standardized processes, and peak performance. Coordinate with management to establish and track progress of goals, including communications and with staff. Conduct daily shift transition meetings, including documentation of progress, challenges, and action items to be shared with management and others. Assist with planning/scheduling. Review, mentor, correct, and elevate staff to clarify expectations, promote personal accountability and highest performance; contribute to review process; provide timely, constructive competency assessments and feed-back on temp labor as well as current staff. Coordinate with Operations Manager and Human Resources to respond to employee concerns, complaints, or behavioral concerns and disciplinary action. Take ownership of ERP systems ensuring timely updates and overall accuracy, including batch work order creation and closing, as well as issuing material. Responsible for monitoring downtime, gathering data to include OEE recordation, reporting, and ERP transactions/reports as needed. Effectively escalate and report any potential safety, manufacturing, and or operational risks or shortages. Ensure safe running of all equipment to internal safety guidelines and all associated areas are maintained in a safe, orderly, and tidy manner; report any equipment issues to maintenance. Committed to learning and process improvement. Other duties as required/assigned. What we're looking for? Ability to speak both English and Spanish highly preferred. Demonstrated skills in manufacturing work-understanding or ability to quickly learn operations and equipment. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate; detail oriented, ability to make sound judgements. Strong problem analysis and problem-solving skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to take initiative, assume responsibility, plan, organize, and execute with excellence. Excellent verbal and written communication; teamwork, adaptability, and collaboration skills Excellent supervisory and leadership skills High School Diploma required, Associate's Degree preferred.
