SUPERVISOR II - MEDFORD PLYWOOD
Medford, OR Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
This position supports the company in meeting its production goals by supervising all activities of employees in an assigned manufacturing process and shift; ensures a safe and efficient work environment by communicating and managing Company established quality, production, safety and human resource policies.
MAJOR TASKS
Supervises the production process while managing staff, equipment and materials to achieve the highest safety, quality and production levels. Maintains quality control standards to maximize company profitability and achieve customer satisfaction. Conducts individual meetings and leads crew meetings to communicate pertinent information to employees. Completes administrative paperwork and reporting related to production reports, scheduling, personnel actions, payroll and safety. Responsible for supporting and enforcing company policies and procedures. Skills & Requirements
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
A BA/BS degree in business administration, production management or related field preferred, but not required. Two to four years of supervisory experience, preferably in wood products or other manufacturing environment. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions and concerns. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Leadership and motivational skills that allow candidates to achieve productivity, quality and safety goals. Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and e-mail, and ability to learn and use company specific software.
