Medical, Dental, and 401K Position Overview Dacon is seeking a hands-on Quality Assurance Lead to oversee our continuous rubber extrusion and molding production lines. This role bridges the gap between floor operations and quality management, working directly on the shop floor alongside manufacturing personnel and production supervisors. If you are a journeyman or an experienced production specialist with a strong mechanical background and an eye for component defects, this role offers a direct path into quality leadership.
Key Responsibilities Floor Oversight:
Monitor rubber extrusion and molding processes to ensure continuous production efficiency and product compliance.
Defect Troubleshooting:
Investigate part non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement practical corrective actions to prevent recurrence on the line.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain accurate calibration logs and production records to support our
ISO 9001
quality management system.
Shipping Certification:
Prioritize daily inspections based on shipping schedules and issue Certifications of Conformance (CoC) for outgoing orders.
Material Control:
Inspect incoming raw materials and purchased components, coordinating vendor returns for items failing to meet specs.
Safety Partnership:
Work actively with the plant safety team to maintain a secure and compliant manufacturing environment.
Qualifications Technical Aptitude:
Strong mechanical and mathematical skills; experience reading industrial drawings or customer prints is highly valued.
Industrial Experience:
Proven background working in a large-scale, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Rubber compounding, molding, or extrusion experience is a significant plus.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Willingness to learn basic 2D drafting in AutoCAD LT.
Logistics & Flexibility:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work flexible hours to support production demands and emergency situations.
Communication:
