Job Description

We are a growing specialty food manufacturer in the Wilkes-Barre area seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assistant Production Supervisor. This is a hands-on role for someone who can help with production scheduling, shipping coordination, food safety paperwork, computer records, and production support when necessary. The right candidate must be organized, dependable, comfortable using a computer, and willing to help on the production floor when needed. Food manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, or supervisory experience is helpful.
Responsibilities:
Assist with daily production scheduling and workflow. Help coordinate shipping schedules and order timing. Complete and maintain food safety paperwork, production logs, and quality records. Assist with SQF, HACCP, sanitation, allergen, and quality control documentation. Use computer systems, email, and spreadsheets for records, schedules, and tracking. Support production employees and help keep jobs moving on time. Step into production when needed, including packing, labeling, assembly, and general support. Communicate delays, shortages, quality issues, or production concerns to management. Help maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment.
Qualifications:
Previous food production, manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, or supervisory experience preferred. Strong attention to detail. Comfortable with computers, email, and basic spreadsheets. Ability to complete paperwork accurately. Reliable, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills and ability to work with a team. Willing to be hands-on and assist wherever needed. Food safety or SQF experience is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift boxes and assist with production as needed. Comfortable working in a food manufacturing environment.
