About the Role As a Metal Fabrication Operations Lead, you will drive the efficiency and output of our production facility by overseeing daily workflows and technical execution. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing shop performance, mentoring skilled personnel, and ensuring high-quality project delivery through expert use of welding and fabrication technologies. Responsibilities Direct daily shop floor activities, including production scheduling and rigorous quality assurance oversight. Cultivate a high-performing team by providing technical mentorship and professional development for fabricators. Drive operational excellence by refining fabrication workflows to maximize throughput and minimize material waste. Partner with engineering and project management teams to align production outputs with complex project specifications. Champion a culture of safety by enforcing strict adherence to industrial regulations and maintaining a hazard-free environment. Manage material procurement and inventory levels to ensure seamless project continuity. Execute performance management strategies to maintain high standards of craftsmanship and productivity. Qualifications Required Skills 3+ years of leadership experience within a professional fabrication environment. Comprehensive knowledge of MIG, GTAW, SMAW, and Flux-Cored Arc welding processes. Proven ability to interpret complex blueprints and technical schematics. Strong proficiency in fabrication management software and shop floor tools. Demonstrated expertise in safety compliance and industrial best practices. Preferred Skills Experience implementing lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies. Advanced certification in welding or metal fabrication management. Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting production bottlenecks and technical issues.
