Production Foreman National Convention and Trade Show Contractor located in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Show Production Team Member. Our ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, flexible scheduling, traveling, excellent organizational skills and most importantly, the capability of working in a team environment accompanied by the self determination to work independently on projects and goals. Plan and direct show operations to ensure the overall execution of company standards to achieve successful event production. Concentration will be on quality, profitability, production efficiency and a high level of customer service. This position will require the coordination of an in-house production team which includes multi-departmental interaction.

Specific tasks include:

Participate in formulating, and implementing strategies to achieve successful event production. Manage project teams and provide ongoing communication with staff, vendors and prospects as needed. Maintain working relationships with vendors, facilities, and subcontractors. Conduct regular production meetings with Event Managers and Warehouse. Site surveys as needed to ensure proper show planning and measurement of venues. Participate in financial planning and participate department's responsibility in forecasting and final show reconciliation. Assist in warehouse as needed with equipment pull and creative graphic structures. Assist Event Manager & Exhibitor Services Department in meeting and exceeding all exhibitor request & needs. Project equipment needs for more efficient event production. Develop equipment pull sheets for show production based on client and exhibitor orders. Oversee inventory counts and quality control of equipment being delivered to show site. Work collaboratively with Warehouse Foreman and Manager on trailer loads and layouts. Stay within the event labor budget and evaluate with the Event & Account Manager if seemingly higher or lower. Work hand in hand with labor unions and Director of Operations that shows are being produced as per the labor contract and with most talented labor for success of show. Ensure labor call is placed in a timely manner and a listing of the crew with lead phone number is sent prior to event. Manage labor crew at show site for most efficient installation and dismantle of event as per production schedule. Work closely on Cost Revenue Analysis for each individual event to ensure event's maximum profitability and resourcefulness. Receive comparison quotes, confirm loading and unloading of tractor trailers and other trucking needs while staying in sync with the production schedule and show's allocated budget.

Qualifications & Desired Skills:

Must have valid driver license, box truck driving experience a plus. Hands on experience and mentality. Must have general knowledge of hand tools. Prior event and/or warehouse experience a plus. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Flexibility to work on the weekends or evenings based upon show schedules.
