Job Title:
Machine Shop Supervisor Job Description As a Machine Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the shift workforce and ensuring the completion of scheduled work safely, efficiently, and with high quality. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the productivity and safety of the machine shop operations. Compensation

  • Friday from 1:45 PM
  • 10:15 PM Responsibilities Work with Team Leaders to manage and direct the shift workforce.
Ensure completion of all scheduled work in a safe and productive manner. Observe and share knowledge to maintain high-quality work standards. Recommend process improvements to enhance safety, quality, and productivity. Collaborate with Maintenance personnel to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues. Communicate equipment repair needs to the Maintenance Manager. Ensure sufficient staffing and punctuality of workers. Make job assignments and re-assignments as necessary. Ensure consistent use and improvement of Process Sheet instructions. Ensure rigorous adherence to setup, inspection, and quality procedures. Coordinate 5-S and Lean/waste reduction programs. Identify training and troubleshooting needs for quality and productivity improvements. Coordinate with the Plant Superintendent on staffing requirements. Ensure proper coordination between shifts and departments. Record and report scrap castings for machining and foundry defects. Gather and report production metrics and statistics for the shift. Review and approve shift time and attendance data. Ensure health, safety, and environmental performance of the shift. Evaluate and recommend worker training as needed. Observe employee behavior and enforce company rules. Promote safe and healthy practices. Prepare written reports on accidents and near misses. Perform other duties and manage special projects as assigned. Essential Skills Experience in machine shop management and supervision. Strong knowledge of machining processes. Leadership and team management skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's Degree in Machining or Leadership preferred. Why Work Here?
