Job Description:
3rd Shift Plant Superintendent The 3rd Shift Plant Superintendent will direct all production operations, personnel, and daily targets during overnight hours. They will ensure production lines meet output goals while maintaining safety and quality standards. This senior role bridges the gap between floor technicians, leads, and upper plant management Responsibilities Manages daily production schedules, adjusts resources to meet product demand, and resolves equipment or staffing issues. Supervises, mentors, and evaluates shift technician leads, technicians, operators and inspectors. Conducts performance reviews, enforces safety protocols, and manages attendance. Ensure manufactured goods meet quality specifications, by monitoring employees' performance to standard. Communicates Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), line status, and open issues to day-shift management and incoming teams. Implements Lean Manufacturing principles and troubleshoots operational inefficiencies. Qualifications 3-5 years of progressive, directly related supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment. Casting/injection molding and/or machining experience is a plus A High School Diploma or GED is the minimum requirement, although any higher education is preferred. Critical path problem-solving, strong verbal/written communication, and a working knowledge of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies.
