Job Description
Midcon is looking for an 'owner' to excel in Midcon's fast-paced, diverse environment. Midcon Cables Company, a leading provider of cable and wire harness interconnect solutions for the Defense and Aerospace industry has an immediate opening in production for a Work Center Lead at our North Myrtle Beach, SC location. The individual will be responsible for leading the work flow for different areas on the production floor and reports directly to the Department Manager. Individual must be familiar with general manufacturing processes and procedures. This position requires an individual that is a quick learner, a problem solver and possesses strong people and leadership skills. The Lead position requires an individual that has the ability to train others and to provide assistance and direction to the individuals in their area based on workload and customer delivery requirements. Experience in using computers will be helpful as the Lead is required to run efficiency, utilization, dispatch and other manufacturing reports needed to run the department. Leads are required to adhere to, know and enforce all Company policies and procedures. Leads are required to interact with personnel at all levels of the company, including customers and suppliers. Computer skills, specifically a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are necessary for this position.
