JOB SUMMARY
Manufacturing Production Planning & Control work focuses on managing production to optimize the useof resources and meet production schedules and standards including: Planning and controllingproduction schedules and coordinating with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow ofapproved materials. Estimating and scheduling the human resources, tools, and equipment needed forthe production process. Researching, evaluating, and recommending changes to production processes,systems, technology, or equipment to enhance organization's production capabilities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Individuals in these roles primarily focus on directing, leveraging, and guiding the work of others,and mobilizing resources. Leaders typically manage two or more direct reports. Responsible for the monitoring and achievement of operational and/or financial results for theirarea of responsibility. Responsible for people management actions such as hiring, terminating, rewarding, training, anddeveloping employees. Maintain and control plant finished goods and raw material inventories. Manages experienced professionals and/or supervisors who exercise latitude and independencein their assignments. Resolves customers issues with scheduling. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to meet short-term challenges. Works on issues of diverse scope; analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of a variety offactors, including an understanding of concepts, theories, and principles in own discipline and abasic knowledge of other disciplines. Solves problems following operational policies; understands the broader impact across thedepartment. Ensures production schedule meets customer shipment needs. Applies understanding of the business and how area of responsibility integrates with other areasto achieve department objectives. Interprets and administers policies, processes, and procedures that may affect sections andsubordinate work units. Develops and administers schedules, performance requirements; may have budgetresponsibilities. Assignments are defined by activities and objectives; work is reviewed upon completion foradequacy in meeting objectives. Decisions impact work processes and outcomes. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results may cause serious delays and considerableexpenditure of resources. Interacts frequently with internal personnel and outside representatives at various levels. Participates and presents at meetings with internal and external representatives. Interaction typically concerns resolution of operational and scheduling issues.POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred 3-5 years experience in a folding carton plant, or equivalent experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to lead Proficient with MicroSoft Office productsPay Range:
