The Foreman will lead crew activities for new equipment installation and repair and maintenance projects for our agriculture clients. This position will report directly to the Specialty Service Leader. We can assist you in joining the local union.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

Working with blueprints and drawings Maintaining and servicing facility equipment including feed mills, elevators, ethanol plants, agronomy centers.

Equipment service project examples:

Bearing replacements (know how to measure one and how they function). Gear box replacement (know how to take tapered bushings off and how they function). Leg belt replacement and tracking leg belts (tensioning limits and cups and how they function). Conveyor belts and tracking them. Chain drags and how they operate Spouting (round and square and the lining inside of them),

Qualifications and Experience:

5 to 10 years experience (Foreman level) Basic welding skills (no need to be a professional but familiar with the basics). Experience in measuring and layout (ability to measure transitions, square to rounds and envisioning finished product). Exposure to or experience working with cranes. Experience working with forklifts, scissor lifts and boom lifts. Ability to be comfortable working above the ground (not afraid of heights). Experience leading teams from the front and leading by example. Maintain adequate knowledge of and always comply with OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and Company Safety policies. Daily local travel between client sites. Experience providing superior customer service.

Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Frequently required to climb or balance. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
